Feb. 6th, 2013 09:36 amThe writing doesn't have to be spectacular at every turn; circumstances, exposition, scenes, backstories are established. But great writers will blow you off the page at a certain moment, when the music pauses and then a full orchestral stab. You have to stop reading and stare out into space and consider what just happened. These moments are accompanied by the realization that you, aspiring writer, can't write worth shit.
