A pleasant enough evening. Some mediocre work, some downright bad, in Chelsea. Then a monumental show by Hiraki Sawa @ James Cohan: beautiful, mesmerizing projected video, a mediation on time like a vanitas; something to return to, possibly more than once. Met GG there, slightly by accident, but after suggesting general plans. Went for drinks after. She is in every way the opposite of AL, so cautious. Her brain is completely open, but her heart is closed. She defies all ways of progression, but she is worth waiting. Everything else seems right at the moment. Tomorrow, home depot to get supplies for the first new painting.
