Mar. 11th, 2013 08:47 pmI realized that the criticism from person b came right in the middle of reading A Good Man is Hard to Find. At least by comparison there I'm not that bad. The self-reflection that it (the criticism) inspired is fading. It's a reasonable lesson learned: some situations call for not getting totally hammered.
Got pleasantly lost at work in the technology - it's been a while since I've faced a serious engineering problem.
But here, not having the stand to my cutting plotter is giving me the unfulfilled creative impulse cramps of the soul. I'm in the middle of a story and I'm not sure if one character lives or dies, so I want to take a break and start on a painting, but the stand IS MISSING. I'm just going to order it from that one place that says they can get it in a week from the company that makes it, because the company that makes it doesn't answer my phone calls or return emails.
