A latest fascination is Adderall. I've always been a night-owl and snorting the pink candy-like lines of crushed addys is a very nice ride through to the late hours. Like any euphoric stimulant, I will fiend on it until it's gone and then stop doing it for years. There's no jitters like caffeine. It bears a resemblance to coke but milder. And the drip is sugary, and not numb.
It's unfortunate the mind can't be willed into states given by drugs. I suppose someone will come along and say exercise or meditation, or ujjayi breath. But you should be able to flex a gland in the back of the brain to release opiates or stimulants.
Now, I need to finish a short story that's been lingering for several weeks.
Ok. I finished it. I also just changed my city from Brooklyn to Houston, with some sadness. I feel a bit homesick, but I also am starting to feel human again here.
